Suicide helplines and other important mental health resources

These helpline numbers have been verified as of 6th November 2022.

Over 153 thousand deaths due to suicides were recorded in India in 2020. Furthermore, majority of suicides were reported in the state of Maharashtra, followed by Tamil Nadu. The number of suicides that year had increased from the previous year. It’s high time we take out mental health seriously and take a step forward to promote the importance of the same.

It’s pertinent that we seek help, spread awareness, and share resources. We never know who it might help. It could save a life.
